About The Role

In this role, reporting to the Retirement Living Manager, you will provide maintenance and gardening support to the Retirement Village.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Conduct regular inspections to ensure a tidy and well-maintained site to support all activities.
• General maintenance and repairs to buildings and infrastructure.
• Maintenance of up-to-date inventory of all equipment, including adherence to preventative maintenance program.
• Horticultural and ground development, maintenance and monitoring to maximise seasonal conditions.
• Trees and shrubs pruning.
• Mowing of lawns, edging, fertilising and weeding.
• Clearing and removal of garden refuse.
• Paths, drains and edge maintenance and repair when needed.
• Undertaking of any repair work and maintenance duties within the village in consultation with the Retirement Village Manager.
• Maintaining records of all works conducted.

What will you bring to the role?

• Horticultural knowledge and experience (desirable).
• Maintenance and/or Trade qualification (desirable).
• Previous experience and knowledge in general and commercial maintenance.
• Experience in safe operation of ride-on mowers, gardening equipment and power tools with adherence to WH&S policies at all times.
• Demonstrated problem solving and a "can do" attitude.
• Exceptional people and interpersonal skills.
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
• Good time management skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team but also be capable of working autonomously.
