What you'll be doing

Join Westmead Hospital's Cancer Services Pharmacy and make a real impact by delivering safe, innovative and patient-focused pharmaceutical care across inpatient, outpatient and community settings.

• Provide expert, patient-centred clinical care
• Lead & supervise pharmaceutical manufacturing
• Ensure GMP & regulatory compliance
• Mentor and support staff, students & technicians
• Contribute to research, training & quality programs

Essential Criteria:

• Qualification: Pharmacy qualifications conferred by Tertiary Education Institutions e.g Bachelor of Pharmacy
• Registration: Full and unrestricted Pharmacist Registration with AHPRA

Selection Criteria:

• Demonstrated excellent and effective communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience and skills in providing pharmaceutical services to ensure safe use of medicines, especially in the area of Cancer Care Services.
• Demonstrated excellent therapeutic knowledge and ability to exercise a high level of initiative in the application of pharmaceutical principles to clinical practice.
• Demonstrated excellent organisational and prioritisation skills to meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Willing and able to participate in sterile (including cytotoxic) manufacturing.
• Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and teaching activities.
• Willing to work on weekends, on-call as per departmental rosters.
