The Westmead Breast Cancer Institute (WBCI) located at Westmead Hospital provides comprehensive breast cancer services—including screening, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and patient education—to the residents of Sydney's west. Through its four core programs—Clinical Care, Research, Education, and BreastScreen NSW Sydney West—WBCI is committed to improving patient outcomes. The Research Unit conducts investigator-initiated and pharmaceutical-sponsored phase II–III clinical trials, advancing breast cancer treatment.

What you'll be doing

As a Clinical Trial Coordinator at the Westmead Breast Cancer Institute (WBCI), you'll be part of a leading clinical and research team dedicated to advancing breast cancer care. You'll work in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment where your expertise in trial coordination directly contributes to improved patient outcomes and groundbreaking research.

In this vital role you will be:

• Implementing and manage trial protocols.
• Supporting patient care and wellbeing.
• Ensuring regulatory and protocol compliance.
• Working autonomously and in a small team.
• Contributing to innovative cancer research.

Selection Criteria

• Degree qualification in science, allied health, data management, NSW Registered Nursing (RN) and/ or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrable knowledge or willingness to acquire clinical skills in ECG collection, venepuncture and sample processing.
• Demonstrated high level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively, independently and within a collaborative team environment.
• Demonstrated organisational and time management skills and the ability to adhere to deadlines without compromising close attention to detail and accuracy.
• Demonstrated high level computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft, Windows based applications, email systems and EMR.
• Demonstrated knowledge of clinical trials process and experience conducting clinical trials.
