What you'll be doing

Join our expert pharmacy team at Westmead Hospital and play a vital role in delivering specialised clinical pharmacy services to our Neonatal Intensive and Special Care Units, ensuring safe and effective medication use for our most vulnerable patients.

• Deliver expert clinical pharmacy care in neonatal and critical care
• Lead safe, ethical, and cost-effective medication use practices
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on patient-centred care
• Contribute to antimicrobial stewardship and clinical governance
• Supervise staff and support ongoing professional development

Essential Criteria:

• Qualification: Pharmacy qualifications conferred by Tertiary Education Institutions e.g. Bachelor of Pharmacy. Must satisfy Grade 2 classification as per Health Employees Pharmacists (State) Award.
• Registration: Full and unrestricted Pharmacist Registration with AHPRA

Selection Criteria:

1. Demonstrated excellent communication skills both written, verbal and interpersonal skills

2. Demonstrated experience in clinical pharmacy practice in neonatal services

3. Demonstrated excellent therapeutic knowledge and ability to exercise a high level of initiative in the application of pharmaceutical principles to clinical practice.

4. Demonstrated organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work and manage time to meet deadlines.

5. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team with a high degree of self-motivation and ability to effect practice change

6. Willing to work on weekends, on-call as per departmental rosters
