Job Description
About the role:
By integrating modern engineering approaches and fostering a culture of constant innovation, our Enterprise Technology & Software Engineering team connect and build the technology tools that help the Ampol Group work smarter, faster, and more efficiently; that not only support current needs but also scale effortlessly for future growth.
As a Salesforce Developer, you'll be joining a team of Developers and Functional Consultants responsible for the support, maintenance, and ongoing development of Ampol's Salesforce platform. You will work closely with B2B Sales and Customer Service to identify current and future requirements and recommend, develop, and implement solutions in line with the wider enterprise technology architecture.
You'll take us further by:
- Ensuring performance, integrity, and security of Salesforce systems.
- Developing and maintaining custom Salesforce applications and components using Apex, LWC, and Visualforce.
- Implementing and optimising automation processes including flows, workflows, and triggers.
- Working with stakeholders to gather and analyse requirements, providing technical solutions aligned with business goals.
- Integrate Salesforce with external systems using APIs and middleware tools.
- Maintain documentation of technical designs, configurations, and development processes.
- Provide support and troubleshooting for existing Salesforce applications and enhancements.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
We'd love it if you have:
- Demonstrated Salesforce development experience in a large-scale environment, with a focus on building new functionality and platform enhancement
- Proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and SOQL
- Strong experience with Salesforce configuration, workflows, process builders, and validation rules.
- Demonstrated experience with REST/SOAP APIs and integration patterns.
- Understanding of Salesforce security model and data architecture
- Experience with version control tools (e.g., Flosum) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Worked in a multi-cloud Salesforce environment (e.g., Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, E&U Cloud)
- Worked with third-party applications and AppExchange products
