**About the role**

We are looking for a Freight Coordinator to manage the Ampol Freight process nationally for Contracted Cartage Carriers and Distributors. You will bring a commercially focused mindset to the role, ensuring negotiated freight solutions are accurate and freight costs remain competitive for the organisation.

The role will be responsible for the management of carrier cost data and all Authority for Work (AFW’s) for each Contracted Cartage Carrier. Managing communication for all rate change advice based on cost element changes, across core business functions including internal and external Stakeholders, such as the Freight Solutions team, Business to Business (Sales), Retail and Carriers.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Management of Cartage Freight Request (Nationally) referencing carrier supplied cost assumptions to derive cost outputs.
- Responsible for all Freight Requests via Salesforce system
- Experience in a role responsible for maintaining all Authorities for Work (AFW’s) with each Contracted Carrier including adding new locations or setting up new (including Change of Operator Advice & SAP Error Log processing)
- Proven experience with Carrier/Distributer road freight, including understanding of cost components.
- Understanding of Spot Cartage market rates
- Data Management including database creation and operation, as well as understanding of systems including SAP
- Strong communication (verbal, written and presentation) with persuasive ability to influence change.
