We create solutions for waste streams that would otherwise be incinerated or end up in landfill, by partnering with well-known household brands such as L'Oréal, P&G and Colgate, transforming the collected packaging into new products like outdoor furniture and playgrounds, whilst driving brand engagement with their customers. **The Role** We're looking for an experienced Business Development Associate **to support the growth our** **Sydney based ANZ business, focused on consumer brands.** This is a unique role for a sales driven, resourceful, individual looking to support the wider business to consumer (B2C) team and build your own sales pipeline, in the sustainability field. You will be responsible for: - Identify and contact prospective clients to develop a constantly growing and healthy sales pipeline for various market segments. - Responding to inbound leads about our recycling programs and services. - Support TerraCycle Business Development Manager with ANZ client conversations. - Developing and maintaining relationships with clients resulting in successful business conversions to achieve sales targets. o Scheduling and conducting sales calls/meetings with prospective clients.,, o Creating, pitching and periodically updating sales presentations and proposals. o Drafting contracts and conducting negotiations (with support of the legal department). o Organising, tracking and maintaining a record of all communications with prospective and/or active customers through our online CRM software. o Providing a complete handover of your client to the Account Management team. - Working with other internal departments (Operations and R&D) to generate custom proposals and pricing as needed. - Assist in the development and maintenance of key team documents and information management strategies. - Representing TerraCycle at events and conferences. **About you** You are motivated to use your sales or relationship management skills towards a sustainable purpose. - Driven to achieve business growth - Minimum 1-2 years’ experience ideally in Business Development, key account management, consulting, or the FMCG Industry - Excellent organisational skills including attention to detail, ability to prioritise and multitask effectively - Exceptional verbal skills, personable and approachable with excellent in person and telephone manner - Fluency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, CRM (HubSpot/Salesforce) - Interest in sustainability/green business - Ability to own and drive sales pipeline **What we offer** - Entrepreneurial start up environment with global growth opportunities - Annual bonus gift - Flexible work hours - Flex Fridays, compressed working week with half-day off on Fridays - 2 paid volunteer days off per year - 2 working from home days per week - Generous parental leave package - Vegan lunch provided at the office - Happiness manager-led regular social activities - Dog friendly office - Casual dress code - Mental health sick days - 1 week work from anywhere policy - Endless recycling options **To Apply** **Salary**: From $67,000.00 per year **Benefits**: - Employee mentoring program - Free food - Professional development assistance - Referral program - Visa sponsorship - Work from home Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Monday to Friday Ability to commute/relocate: - Alexandria, NSW: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required) Work Authorisation: - Australia (required)
