An exciting opportunity has become available to join an innovative State Government Department, whose purpose is to ensure that Queensland's communities, businesses and water resources thrive. They are seeking an AO3 Administration Officer, on a Monday-Friday, 4-month temporary contract, based in either Townsville or Ayr.

Your new role

In the role of AO3 Administrator, you will provide high-level administrative support to a dynamic and busy team. Key responsibilities include managing a high-volume inbox, operating a phone switchboard, and delivering exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Teams for messaging and phone systems is essential. Based in either Townsville or Ayr, you will work collaboratively with colleagues and management, ensuring strong communication and support throughout the department.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role you will be:

  • Proficient in MS Office with the ability to pick up industry-specific software quickly.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Sound administration background
  • Strong communication skills via phone, email and face-to-face.
  • Ability to work autonomously, as well as part of a team.
  • Efficient, reliable, respectful, and self-motivated

What you'll get in return

This is a full-time temporary position, Monday to Friday (7.25 hours per day), with flexibility within standard business hours (8:00 am - 5:00 pm). The assignment is for an initial 4-month term, with the possibility of extension, and we are looking to commence the successful candidate within approximately two weeks. The role offers an attractive hourly rate of $50.37 plus superannuation.
