Maintenance Fitter Needed for Packaging Company

Our client is a leader in the packaging manufacturing industry and is looking to take on a Maintenance Fitter, ideally with experience in the food or packaging industry, or with a solid foundation with hydraulics and pneumatics. They are looking for someone that is looking to develop their skills with preventative and breakdown maintenance and to also step into a supervisory role potentially within the next 12 months.

About Us

Our Client is a industry leader looking to increase their investment into their maintenance departments. They have a leadership team with an excellent tenture and are looking to take on talented individuals to build out their team.

Responsibilities: Engage with internal stakeholders and ensure maintenance activities are logged via Mex.

Provide preventative and reactive maintenance on manufacturing equipment

Conduct root cause analysis and fault finding to diagnose and then provide maintenance repairs to manufacturing equipment.

Work across a rotating roster with 2 weeks on day shift, 1 week afternoon shift, along with one week in three being on call.

Your Profile

Trade Qualified with a Certificate III in Mechanical fitting and ideally with a minimum of 2 years of maintenance work

Able to work the rotating roster with the on-call requirement

Willing and able to engage with internal stakeholders to ensure the required work is finished in a timely fashion

Experience or knowledge of the food, FMCG, pharma or packaging industries is advantageous, but not necessary.
