Group Commercial Analyst

This well-established international freight forwarding and contract logistics company is growing strongly and needs greater focus on pricing strategies and profitability, and a more defined market direction.
Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, the Group Commercial Analyst will bridge the gap between data and strategy – gathering insights, building models, and presenting clear recommendations that guide commercial decision-making across the Group (AUS & NZ).
This pivotal role will shape pricing frameworks, improve profitability, and deliver the market intelligence needed to support growth across freight forwarding, contract logistics, and broader supply chain solutions.
This is not a back-office analyst role. It's a hands-on, commercial insights position where your ability to research, model, analyse and present with confidence will provide the structure this business needs to scale profitably.
*What you will be doing*
- Manage and optimise group pricing strategies across multiple products and services
- Develop cost models and quoting templates to drive accuracy and competitiveness
- Identify and correct revenue leakage through profitability and GP analysis
- Provide actionable commercial insights that guide sales strategy, solution design, and executive decision-making
- Create and tailor supply chain solutions – including network design and service models – that align with client needs and deliver growth
- Apply advanced analytics and modelling techniques to quantify the impact of solutions and build robust business cases
- Analyse customer behaviour, market trends, and competitor benchmarks to inform strategy
- Support RFPs, tenders, and contract negotiations with customised pricing and solution inputs

*What you will bring*
- Strong commercial acumen and a strategic mindset
- Freight forwarding knowledge, with broader supply chain and contract logistics exposure
- Advanced Excel and BI software capability (Power BI advantageous)
- Proven experience with pricing frameworks, cost models, and financial analysis
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills – able to confidently present insights and recommendations
- Ability to research, interpret and apply geopolitical and industry trends into commercial strategies
