Our Qantas Commercial Performance and Analytics team is seeking talent who are motivated and passionate about creating an impact in a large-scale organisation in the digital and customer space. As the Senior Commercial Analyst – Qantas Digital and Customer Experience, you will be responsible for developing commercial insights, analysis and reporting of Digital and Customer Operations that support the long and short-term digital and customer operations strategies across the Qantas Group. You will generate a suite of insights and reports from a complex array of sources and stakeholders, to develop and present in a cohesive commercial and customer overview.

As part of this role, you will monitor the ongoing performance of KPIs across the Digital and Customer Operations portfolio and ensuring performance is consistent with the strategies to achieve the company's customer, transformation and brand objectives. Additionally, you will conduct complex and detailed pieces of analytical work, including operational and financial modelling.

By sourcing the most applicable insights, leading analysis, coordinating reports and developing solutions, you will work closely with senior management in making significant strategic decisions; to identify, evaluate and articulate opportunities to improve the commercial outcomes across the Qantas Group. You will play a key role in determining how to focus resources, capabilities and activities to achieve the targeted Qantas experience.

You'll have:

  • Degree-level qualifications, with preference for degrees in applied statistics or a related analytical field
  • Extensive experience in extracting and manipulating large volume data with SQL, with direct experience with the Teradata platform preferred
  • Previous experience in turning raw data into actionable, value-adding insights and recommendations, with a proven track record of success
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to overlay commercial acumen to developed insights and recommendations
  • Proficiency in PowerBI or similar visualisation software
  • High level of computer literacy with extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint and the ability to source data from internal IT systems
  • The ability to prepare analytical reports, presentations and budget inputs
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven communication skills at all levels within the company, including staff, staff delegates and management
  • A highly motivated demeanour with the ability to achieve outcomes without supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate, contribute and create effective teamwork across traditional organisational boundaries
