Role Summary

The Commercial Credit Analyst is responsible for assessing and decisioning commercial asset finance loan applications, specifically those submitted through streamlined or low-documentation processes. This role plays a critical function in mitigating credit risk, ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations (including AML/CTF, Privacy Act, ASIC guidelines, and PPSA), and upholding Plenti's credit policy and risk appetite. The analyst must evaluate borrower information, detect potential fraud or misrepresentation, and ensure accurate and compliant processing while meeting individual and team performance targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and decision commercial asset finance loan applications (streamline/low doc)
  • Maintain credit policy integrity and ensure decisions are aligned with risk appetite
  • Verify borrower and broker-submitted information for accuracy and compliance
  • Identify potential fraud or inconsistencies in applications
  • Conduct KYC and AML/CTF checks in accordance with legal and internal standards
  • Communicate decisions clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain strong relationships with commercial originators
  • Meet daily activity targets and team SLAs

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Commercial Credit Analyst in the asset finance sector

Key Competencies:

  • High processing speed and accuracy with large volumes of applications
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder communication skills
  • Attention to detail and fraud detection capabilities
  • Ability to maintain regulatory compliance under pressure
