About the role

  • The Pricing Manager for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) will be responsible for developing and implementing pricing strategies to maximize profitability and market share within ANZ.
  • Internally collaborating closely with sales, finance and supply line to realise the strengths and area of developments.
  • Externally, analysing market trends, competitors pricing, and customer behaviour to set optimal prices for the company products, solutions and services.

As a Pricing Manager, you will be responsible for...

  • Developing and implementing comprehensive pricing strategies that align with the business lines' overall transformation goals, while maximizing value across the full customer lifecycle
  • Driving transformation of current pricing ways of working, executing on pricing initiatives, incl. development of pricing mindset, tools, processes, and governance frameworks across ANZ
  • Identifying short-term and long-term pricing initiatives for profitable growth by analysing market segments, sales channels, end-to-end pricing & leakages, individual sales performance, and performance across customer lifecycle
  • Working closely with business lines and regions to ensure alignment and support for pricing initiatives, engaging with stakeholders to gather input, address concerns, and build consensus.
  • Leading/Coordinating internal communication on a pricing strategy to ensure uniform messages delivered to internal stakeholders
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in pricing processes and practices.
  • Creating feedback loop to improve internal and external understanding of competitors and customers (incl. market research).
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of pricing tools, processes, and governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with best practices, and providing training and support to team members.
  • Utilizing advanced analytical tools and techniques to analyse pricing data, generate actionable insights, and preparing detailed reports and presentations to communicating findings and recommendations to the senior leadership.
  • Leading sales salespeople, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and capabilities and provide feedback to ensure continuous development. Supports negotiation of large deals and renegotiation of long-term service contract that has become unprofitable.

What you already have...

  • 15–20 years of progressive experience in pricing, with a proven track record of delivering impactful pricing strategies.
  • Exceptional communications and influencing skills, has a proven track record of helping sales leaders to formulate their pricing strategies and transform the sales team mindset.
  • In-depth expertise in pricing strategies, frameworks, and initiatives, with strong proficiency in pricing software, analytical tools, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to drive business results.
  • Experience in leading large-scale transformation projects, with a strong focus on process improvement and business optimization.
  • Knowledge and experience in service-based business models, with the ability to adapt pricing strategies to the dynamics of service offerings.
