Salary Package:  AU$180 – 200k + Super
Role Highlights:

Career-defining opportunity to join an entrepreneurial fast-growing Insurance business ready to embark on their next stage of growth. Build, lead and expand a new Pricing function with the full backing of the Executive Team and Board.

Role Overview

You will be tasked with the development and execution of a new function for the business, supporting underwriting activity and product diversification through sophisticated pricing methodologies and technique.

In the short-term, you will review existing models, develop new processes, build internal relationships and lay the foundations for new model development as the business launches further products and geographies in future.

Responsibilities

  • Review and recalibrate existing Pricing Models to ensure fit for purpose
  • Develop new Pricing Models upon the launch of new products and locations in the organisation
  • Conduct annual pricing and large loss reviews across all products
  • Support and review Catastrophe Modelling processes
  • Develop and improve pricing processes with a learning loop and continuous improvement lens

 

Candidate Profile

  • Commercial Pricing background with an Australian-based Insurer or Reinsurer
  • Short-Tail product exposure is essential, and Long-Tail exposure desirable
  • Experience managing rate adequacy processes
  • Accomplished with pricing models and processes
  • Demonstrated background working closely with Senior Underwriters
  • Either qualified Actuary or Data Scientist
