As our business grows, we are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Recruitment Specialist to join our HR team and help us attract and retain top talent across sales, aftersales, and corporate functions.
Role Overview
The Recruitment Specialist will be responsible for end-to-end recruitment, ensuring we hire high-calibre candidates to support our fast-growing dealership operations. This role involves developing recruitment strategies, managing job postings, coordinating interviews, and building a strong employer brand to attract talent in the competitive automotive market.
You will work closely with the HR Manager and department heads to forecast hiring needs and ensure a smooth and professional candidate experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full recruitment cycle, including job ad creation, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer management.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand workforce planning and define job requirements.
- Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for key positions, including Sales Consultants, F&I Managers, Technicians, and administrative roles.
- Post job ads on Seek and other relevant platforms, ensuring content aligns with Harmony Auto's branding and compliance standards.
- Conduct reference checks and coordinate pre-employment processes.
- Maintain accurate recruitment records and reports for compliance and decision-making.
- Support employer branding initiatives and recruitment marketing campaigns.
- Provide guidance to hiring managers on best practices and Fair Work compliance.
- Assist in onboarding new employees to ensure a seamless transition.
Skills & Qualifications
Essential:
- Proven experience in recruitment, ideally within the automotive, retail, or related industries.
- Minimum of 2+ years recruitment experience required.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end recruitment processes and Australian employment regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple roles and priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using job boards (e.g., Seek) and applicant tracking systems.
- Australian work rights are essential for this position.
Desirable:
- Experience in employer branding or talent marketing.
- HR qualification or working towards one.
- Knowledge of Fair Work Act and compliance requirements in the automotive sector.
