Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Sydney Area for a Business Practice Manager. This

is one of the most pivotal roles within the firm, overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring the smooth running of a high-performing legal practice. Working closely with the Director you will lead a team of qualified professionals, creating and improving internal processes to deliver outstanding client service.

The Business Practice Manager will oversee the daily operations of the firm, including managing business processes, coordinating with team members to improve efficiency, and analyzing key business performance indicators. Responsibilities also include financial management, program and project oversight, and sales support to drive the firm's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

As General Manager / Practice Manager, you will be at the heart of the firm, ensuring smooth operations and providing leadership across administration, HR, finance, IT and facilities. Your responsibilities will include:

·       Overseeing operations and processes of each office to ensure efficiency.

·       Leading and mentoring administrative and support Team members.

·       Coordinating recruitment, onboarding and HR processes.

·       Managing budgets, supplier contracts and invoicing.

·       Ensuring compliance with professional and legal standards.

·       Liaising with IT providers, building management and external vendors.

·       On site attendance at each office to support and mentor team members.

·       Manage compliance with budgets, reporting and implementing strategic initiatives.

·       Arranging events and special projects.

·       Maintaining strong professional relationships with colleagues, clients, and vendors.

About You

You're a natural leader who combines professionalism with approachability. You know how to get things done, keep people motivated, and stay one step ahead. You'll bring:

  • Proven experience in an Office Manager, Practice Manager, or similar leadership role (legal industry experience highly regarded but not essential).
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills with a hands-on approach.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and cloud-based CRM systems (Smokeball preferred).
  • The ability to juggle competing priorities while maintaining confidentiality.
  • A passion for efficiency, problem-solving and continuous improvement.
