Description
The Delivery Practice Manager (DPM) is a key people management role within the ProServe Shared Delivery Team (SDT). They play a crucial role in bridging our sales and delivery teams ensuring we are able to meet our customer objectives. They work in close collaborating with the CST team, ensuring the delivery capabilities through technical validation during the pre-sales stage. The DPMs ensure successful project delivery by leading a team of Delivery Consultants and Engagement Managers, ensuring fostering long-term customer relationships. while supporting enterprise customers through transformative IT projects. They combine strong people leadership skills with deep technical expertise.

To achieve the desired outcomes for this role, DPM's must be comfortable (1) managing a team of ProServe Delivery Consultants and Engagement Managers, and (2) supporting AWS enterprise customers through a variety of transformative projects. DPMs bring diverse people leadership experience gained within an IT and/or Management Consulting background and knowledge of industry IT. They leverage this credibility as a strategic advisor to sellers, customers, and partners. They can craft an innovative, forward-looking strategy while clearly outlining the investment and multi-step go-to-market plan necessary to help our customers lead the changes to IT strategy, policies, processes, people, governance and partnerships.

DPMs are responsible for building and managing a team of Delivery Consultants and Engagement Managers working with customers and partners to architect and implement innovative solutions. They routinely engage with Director, C-level executives, and governing boards. They are responsible for opportunity capture and driving engagement delivery. They work closely with partner teams; drive business development initiatives through thought leadership; provide portfolio guidance and oversight; and meet and exceed customer satisfaction targets. DPMs are primarily focused directly or through their teams, on understanding and defining business outcomes for customers by building trust, identifying applicable AWS Professional Services offerings, and creating proposals and SOW's.

Key job responsibilities

Engage customers - collaborate with Global Accounts sales managers to develop strong customer and partner relationships and build a growing business in Korea and influence global decisions from Australia, driving AWS adoption in key markets and accounts.

Sell consulting engagements - that can span from short on-site projects proving the value of AWS services to massive cloud migration projects that include the movement of thousands of applications and the automation of the cloud infrastructure to house them.

Coach and teach - collaborate with AWS Global Accounts sales, pre-sales, training and support teams to help partners and customers learn and use AWS services.

Deliver value - lead high quality delivery of a variety of customized engagements with partners and Global Accounts customers.

Lead great people - attract top technology talent to build high performing teams of consultants with superior technical depth, and great customer relationship skills.

Be a customer advocate - Work with AWS engineering teams to convey partner and enterprise customer feedback as input to AWS technology roadmaps.

Basic Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience;
  • Highly technical and analytical, possessing 15 or more years of progressive technology implementation experience
  • Great customer relationship management, sales, delivery experience and collaboration skills
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges
  • Consulting practice leadership
  • Deep understanding of cloud transformation journey and change management
  • Enterprise architecture successes including virtualization technologies & distributed architecture
  • Familiarity with archive, disaster recovery and business continuity in global operations
  • Familiarity with compliance & security standards across the enterprise IT landscape

Preferred Qualifications

  • Meets/exceeds Amazon's functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
  • Visible IT Industry thought leadership on relevant topics related to enterprise IT infrastructure
  • Vertical industry sales and delivery experience of contemporary services and solutions in Financial Services
  • Experience with design of modern, scalable delivery models for technology consulting services
  • Business development experience including complex agreements w/ integrators and ISVs
  • International sales and delivery experience with global F500 enterprise customers and partners
  • Use of AWS services in distributed environments with Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, HP, SAP etc.
