The Opportunity:
As the Sales Director, you'll be a driving force in shaping sales processes, maximising team effectiveness, and expanding market presence. You'll provide strategic direction, implement best practices, and mentor a team of Business Development Managers, fostering a culture of collaboration and achievement. Your expertise will be critical in identifying new business opportunities, optimising pricing strategies, and managing key customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve company revenue and profitability goals.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to a team of Business Development Managers.
  • Streamline communication and collaboration between sales, operations, and other departments.
  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities, particularly in underserved regions.
  • Analyse cost models and pricing strategies to maximize profitability.
  • Manage key customer relationships and ensure brand protection.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for complex customer issues and conflicts.
  • Develop and implement sales training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.
  • Track and analyse sales performance metrics, providing regular reports to senior management.
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience in sales leadership within the building materials industry (high-end architectural products preferred).
  • Strong understanding of the sales process, from lead generation to closing.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems.
  • Architectural background (highly desirable).
  • Resilient, self-motivated, and results oriented.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Unquestionable integrity and a commitment to ethical business practices.
