We are rapidly building a reputation for growth and success based on an exceptional "YES WE CAN" customer service offering and quality product in the highly competitive market. **About the Role** To support our Engineering and Maintenance Team, we are seeking a **Mechanical Fitter Apprentice** to join the team at our **Ingleburn site.** You will be working closely with the NSW maintenance and production teams, providing safe and efficient maintenance services. With a commitment of 4 years required to complete your trade qualification, Supagas will provide on the job training and access to a certified TAFE training course. Applicants must be highly motivated, flexible and keen to learn. Supagas is committed to developing and supporting individuals throughout the program. **Duties & Responsibilities Include**: - Adapt, promote, and encourage a Safety-First approach - Promote the ‘Yes We Can’ ethos in all aspects of the role and responsibilities - Assist fitter/s with maintenance and inspections on Industrial Filling System, Cylinder Test Station, Dry Ice Production, Pumps/Compressors, CO2 plant, LPG Filling System and LPG and Cryogenic Tanks/Tankers. - Record all works in the MEX system (computerised maintenance management system). - Assist with preparation of Safe Work Methods Statements (SWMS), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Permit to work (PTW). - Participate in training and department meetings as required. - Regular attendance to subscribed TAFE course. - Ensure your PPE clothing and tools/equipment are used safely in accordance with company procedures and practices. - Demonstrate commitment by the following of all site rules and regulations. **The Successful applicants will have**: - Commitment to health and safety - ‘Yes We Can’ ethos in all aspects - Commitment to complete your trade, gain on the job training and attend TAFE - A strong mechanical aptitude - Good problem-solving skills - **Australian valid driver’s licence**: - Ability to work in a team environment - Reliability and flexibility - Good communication skills, verbal & written - Strong commitment and desire to learn and achieve **Benefits** - Good base salary plus superannuation - Continual ongoing support and training provided - Significant future career opportunities
