Due to continued growth, we're looking for a practical Management Accountant to lead our internal financial processes and act as the bridge between our team and our external accountants.

While accountancy is the core focus of this role, we'd love to welcome someone who is also interested in assisting with Human Resource Management administration. Whether you already have HR administration experience, or it's an area you'd like to explore and grow into, this is a fantastic opportunity to broaden your skills while keeping finance at the heart of what you do.

This role will focus on improving financial performance by providing accurate insights and quality information that drive business growth in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Finance (core focus):

• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc)
• Liaise effectively with external accountants
• Preparation and processing of internal accounting functions (AP, AR, Payroll)
• Manage end-to-end finance tasks including journal entries, reconciliations, and purchase orders
• Monitor profit and loss performance per job
• Reporting to external bodies such as Portable Long Service Leave and MySkills - Skills SA.

HR Support (growth area):

• Assist with HR administration such as onboarding, maintaining staff records, and supporting contract management
• Provide general support to our leadership team on people-related processes
• Contribute to building a positive and supportive workplace culture

We're looking for a self-motivated, detail-focused finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to grow with us.

You will have:

• A tertiary qualification in a finance-related discipline
• CPA, CA or CMA (completed or in progress) – highly regarded
• Detailed practical working knowledge of Xero
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proven track record of delivering work on time
• Experience in a trade-based business (especially electrical) – highly regarded
• An interest in or experience with HR administration (desirable but not essential)
