Adelaide, South Australia Nexus Group Full time $60,000 - $80,000 per year

We are on the lookout for a motivated Assistant Accountant to join our Adelaide finance team. Reporting directly to the Group Head of Finance and CEO, this role is ideal for someone with strong accounting skills who wants exposure to senior leadership and the chance to grow within a supportive team. If you've got a sharp eye for detail, enjoy working with numbers, this could be the perfect next step in your career.

What you'll be doing, but not limited too:

  • Manage accounts receivable, and maintain the accuracy of accounts across multiple group entities
  • Cashflow management and bank reconciliations
  • Assist with payroll processing and reporting
  • Assist with budgets, reporting, and forecasting
  • Supporting BAS and compliance requirements
  • Assisting with month-end and year-end close
  • Ad-hoc finance duties as requested

What we're looking for:

  • 2–3 years' experience in accounting
  • A degree in accounting (or similar)
  • An accounts receivable superstar
  • Detail-focused, organised, and reliable under pressure
  • Strong communicator with a proactive mindset
  • Someone who can stay calm and meet deadlines when things get busy
