What you'll be doing
Reporting to the Head of DevOps, ANZ you'll be involved in ;
- Influence design efforts for the secure and scalable environments that satisfy both operational and product needs.
- Influence and lead efforts and processes for continuous deployment cycles
- Drive resolution of issues identified via application and system monitoring. Resolve emergent service problems and build automated tools to identify/prevent problem recurrence.
- Perform hands-on automation tasks to treat infrastructure as code.
- Provide execution of activities related to infrastructure, security, continuous deployment, IT operations and metrics.
- Communicate with key stakeholders on infrastructure and deployment details.
- Lead code reviews
- Mentor other DevOps Engineers and Developers
Who we're looking for

- Tertiary qualification in an area of Information Technology and/or relevant experience
- Experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS), Linux, Docker and Scripting languages )
- Experience with using Puppet, Ansible, Terraform or other infrastructure as code tools.
- Experience with building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Proven ability to identify problems and implement effective solutions.
- Experience in building and maintaining Kubernetes clusters.
- Experience in running .NET applications in production environments.
- Web hosting experience on the public internet involving PHP, Apache (or Nginx)
- Experience with using VMware.
- Experience with mentoring junior DevOps Engineers and/or other development team members would be an advantage
What your impact and success looks like
We expect your success and impact in the early stages of your career with us to look something like this:
Within 1 month:
- Familiarise yourself with the IaC repositories and their deployment pipelines.
- Support our development teams when they reach out for help.
Within 3 months:
- Acquired a working knowledge of the infrastructure and automations that the DevOps team builds and maintains.
- Identify issues and propose solutions/impreovements to existing infrastructure or automations.
Within 6 months:
- Participate in or lead the deployment of new infrastructure or automation
We operate a Flexible Working Policy and we would like for you to work from our nearest office location, 1 or 2 days a week
