About Your Opportunity
In this role, you will lead Seqwater's DevOps Engineer function, ensuring effective design, implementation, and management of scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure for Seqwater's cloud services development and deployment processes. You will establish work area outcomes, prepare proposals and budget submissions, develop and implement operational procedures, and review operations for effectiveness.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide expert guidance in developing and implementing complex technical solutions, including briefing materials and performance reports for stakeholders.
- Manage continuous improvement projects across Azure and AWS using CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and automation of the software development lifecycle.
- Administer and coordinate DevOps services across Seqwater, acting as a technical escalation point and ensuring efficient problem resolution.
- Establish tools and processes to monitor cloud platforms, ensuring security, performance, cost-efficiency, and availability under agreed SLAs.
- Design solutions that meet operational requirements such as scalability, reliability, and maintainability using architectural and DevOps engineering concepts.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Azure Certified DevOps Engineer (or similar certification).
- Proven experience in cloud platform engineering and operations, including scripting and automation.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills, with a client-focused and agile delivery approach.
- Ability to evaluate complex business requirements and implement cost-effective, fit-for-purpose solutions.
- Experience in budget preparation and proposal development.
The position is offered on a permanent full-time basis, with a competitive salary package including 12.75% superannuation.
