Our DevOps Engineer will be responsible for the build and deployment environment of MST software solutions. The role provides advice and technical support to internal stakeholders and, to a lesser extent, customers.

You will own the automated build pipeline and related infrastructure for MST software and firmware solutions. Using best practice methodologies, you'll work closely with senior developers and software engineers to implement, manage and maintain a robust and reliable build and deployment system.

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

  • Tertiary qualification in computer science or similar technical discipline, or relevant industry experience
  • 3+ years of business process, systems and development experience in a similar tool chain
  • Demonstrated commercial experience across Linux System Admin, BASH and PowerShell scripting, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, TeamCity, Couchbase, Terraform and Azure admin
  • Demonstrated relationship building skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across different teams and business units
  • Ability to find solutions and work on tasks independently
  • Working knowledge of natural resource domains, e.g. mining and agriculture industries (desirable)
  • Broad knowledge of software technologies and architectures: multi-tier, client/server, embedded systems, commercial and open source, UNIX/Linux and Microsoft Windows, databases, etc. (desirable)
