Senior DevOps Engineer

Overview

We're looking for a hands-on Senior DevOps Engineer to join our client's team in Brisbane.

In this role, you'll strength is to provide expert guidance and leadership in the development and implementation of complex technical solutions, providing briefing material and regular performance reports for key stakeholders.  

You'll be leading and manage the team's development, implementation, and review of continuous improvement projects for but not limited to Azure and AWS cloud platforms and services using continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC) and automation of the software development lifecycle.

Job capability requirements

  • Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
  • Strong scripting and automation skills.
  • High level interpersonal skills including the ability to influence and negotiate internal and external stakeholders.
  • Establish and implement processes, procedures, tools and techniques for monitoring and managing the performance of cloud platforms and services, managing the security, performance, costs and availability of cloud-based services under agreed SLAs.
  • Proven Experience in cloud platform engineering and operations.
  • Experience in a supervisor equivalent role.
  • Experience in resource management for a DevOps engineering team inclusive of handling external contractors
  • Proven track record of client-centric collaboration and agile solution delivery
