The Australce Group is seeking an accomplished General Manager to lead our Wear Liner Solutions (WLS) business across the East Coast of Australia.

Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, the General Manager will collaborate closely with business leaders to shape the strategic direction of WLS while ensuring operational excellence in day-to-day delivery.

The role requires a leader who combines commercial vision with operational discipline—capable of driving sales growth, strengthening client partnerships, and scaling a high-performing operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the WLS business unit with accountability for sales growth, client relationships, and operational delivery.
  • Develop and execute a strategic account plan, driving Tier 1 customer acquisition and expansion.
  • Represent WLS at senior levels with mining and industrial clients, building long-term partnerships and trust.
  • Build leadership capability, engage frontline teams, and foster a high-performance culture.
  • Collaborate with centralised Group services (Sales, Finance, HR, Technology, Procurement, Compliance) to align priorities and unlock results.
  • Contribute to Group-wide strategy and growth initiatives.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven leadership experience in mining services, heavy industry, or manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated success in sales growth, customer acquisition, and account management.
  • Strong commercial acumen with expertise in pricing, pipeline management, and revenue strategy.
  • Operational expertise in production efficiency, delivery performance, safety, and quality.
  • Experience scaling operations and developing site leadership capability.
  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement and client negotiations at senior levels.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with a focus on data-driven outcomes.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Engineering, or related field
  • Permanent residency status required for this position.
