The role
Auto & General is seeking a proactive and driven Regulatory Engagement Manager to join our Group Risk team. This SME position provides critical operational support to the Head of Group Regulatory Engagement & Government Relations. You will help shape how we engage with our key regulators and ensure that our interactions are proactive, consistent, structured, and strategically aligned.

This Role Will Be Responsible For

  • Developing and coordinating comprehensive regulatory responses in collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Developing & maintaining a forward-looking engagement schedule for all key regulators, including APRA, ASIC & ACCC.
  • Overseeing the Group's governance and attestation process for regulatory submissions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinating executive and senior management involvement in regulatory engagements, including providing briefings, meeting summaries and actions.
  • Managing and communicating actions from regulator meetings and facilitating responses to day-to-day queries, on-site reviews, and follow-up commitments.
  • Preparing regulatory and internal reports and updates for Executives and Board Committees.

What Experience You'll Bring

  • Strong experience in regulator, government, or regulatory affairs/engagement function, or a similar stakeholder management role.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships with senior stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrable leadership capabilities and strategic thinking.
  • Strong presentation skills with attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability.
