In this Role
- Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of the annual National Metcash Exhibition and other major events
- Build and maintain systems, processes, and registration platforms to drive operational efficiency and sales
- Oversee travel, accommodation, registrations, and communications across national events
- Manage event governance, OH&S, compliance, and documentation to ensure smooth and safe execution
- Drive innovation in event management through new technologies, websites, and data processes, including change management
- Support the execution of supplier and retailer events, such as Supplier of the Year, Study Tours, and Challenges
- Maintain event data and reporting dashboards for insights and decision-making
- Collaborate with internal teams, agencies, and vendors to ensure seamless end to end delivery of all events
You're Likely a Match If
- Strong experience in event management, ideally with retail or FMCG industry exposure
- Proven success delivering large-scale exhibitions or trade shows with significant budgets and stakeholders
- High-level administrative and project management skills, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and event registration systems
- Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence across internal and external partners
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, even under tight deadlines
- The ability to multitask and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in change management and process improvement
- A degree in communications, business, or events (highly regarded but not essential)
