The main focus of the Strategic Inventory Specialist is to contribute to the research, establishment of strategies and demand forecasting of materials. Accountabilities:
  • Balances customer requirements with the supply chain capabilities to ensure required materials are available for use.
  • Applies an understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain to enhance efficiency, drive optimisation, and maximise value.
  • Manages contract execution and analysis to maximise operational and financial performance and mitigate exposure and risk.
  • Translates corporate objectives into actionable plans, communicating, managing and analysing the implementation of those plans, and reporting back on their progress to facilitate the delivery of our strategy.
  • Determines the underlying cause of problems and evaluates multiple solutions to ensure a planned and structured approach to solving complex problems.
  • Sources information, plans and conducts analyses to support evidence-based decision-making.
  • Gains support for and negotiates outcomes that achieve mutually beneficial goals.
  • Makes evidence-based and strategic decisions in alignment with longer-term business objectives.
  • Supports the management of vendor/customer selection, contracts, and performance to maximise operational and financial outcomes and mitigate exposure to risk.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • Knowledge of end-to-end Supply Chain functions and processes
  • Demonstrated experience with Analytics & Strategy
  • Demonstrated experience with Cost Modelling and Inventory Reporting
  • Demonstrated experience with SAP Master Data and cataloguing
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in complex and ambiguous environments
  • Autonomous, detail-oriented, organised, and objective.
  • Communication skills enabling the influencing of a diverse stakeholder group.
