Logistics Specialist Role

We are seeking a skilled Logistics Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for managing inventory, forecasting orders, and liaising with overseas suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create accurate inventory data and enter it into our ERP system.
  • Review inventory stock levels and forecast orders based on sales data and promotional data.
  • Create, enter, and manage Purchase Orders.
  • Liaise with overseas suppliers to rectify issues, negotiate prices, and packaging changes.
  • Coordinate international shipping, obtain shipping quotations, and compare best shipping options for containers and air.
  • Check container movements daily and troubleshoot shipping issues.
  • Calculate and report on landed costs.
  • Assist in the warehouse during busy times.
  • Assist in locating stock in the warehouse.
  • Assist in setting up inventory with 3PL logistic providers.
  • Handle various administration tasks.
  • Foster trusting relationships with trade partners.

Key Skills, Competencies & Attributes:

  • 4+ years' experience in a supply chain industry.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification ideally with Commerce, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Procurement Background.
  • Fluent in both Mandarin and English.
  • Triumph knowledge is an advantage.
  • Great communication skills.
  • Experience with use of inventory-based management systems, bar-coding systems, and hand-held scanning devices.
  • Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety.
  • A desire to make a positive impact on our organization.
  • A strong work ethic with a 'can do' attitude, flexible, and cooperative.
