About the Role

As the AWS Solution Architect, you will lead the design and delivery of end-to-end solutions that meet our business, performance, and security needs. You'll work closely with engineers, product managers, operations, and stakeholders to ensure our infrastructure is modern, cost-effective, and aligned with AWS best practices.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Designing and architecting scalable solutions across AWS and on-premises environments.
• Leading solution architecture, including APIs, reference architectures, and patterns.
• Designing APIs and Pact testing mechanisms to ensure that API contracts are met.
• Leading domain-driven design of APIs using bounded contexts and event-driven patterns to decouple systems.
• Implementing infrastructure as code (Terraform, CDK) and integrating CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensuring security, compliance, and monitoring are embedded in all solutions.
• Designing venue-based technology infrastructure and driving modernisation.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, providing technical leadership and consultation.
• Staying current with emerging AWS services and driving continuous improvement.

About You

You're an experienced cloud architect who thrives in complex environments, with the ability to balance business needs with regulatory obligations. You enjoy solving problems, guiding teams, and making technical decisions that deliver real business impact.

Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in cloud architecture, with a strong focus on AWS.
• Proficiency with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudFront).
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation).
• Expertise in CI/CD pipeline design and automation.
• Strong knowledge of networking, security, and compliance frameworks.
• Experience with containerisation and microservices (Docker, ECS Fargate).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch and DataDog.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

The successful applicant will be required to obtain a VGCCC Gaming License and/or OLGR License.

Some regional and Interstate travel may be necessary in this role.
