Why this role exists
Wisr is undergoing an exciting growth journey and to drive this momentum, we're looking for a Head of Product who can define a compelling product vision, orchestrate multiple squads, and deliver innovative new products. You'll blend strategic thinking and vision with a hands-on, detail-oriented approach—owning delivery within one squad while mentoring and guiding a team of Product Managers across the broader portfolio.
What You'll Do
Set Direction
- Define and evolve a clear product vision and strategy aligned to Wisr's company goals and innovation agenda.
- Drive the annual and quarterly product planning processes, translating strategy into actionable roadmaps, OKRs, and investment cases.
Drive Execution
- Directly manage one cross-functional squad, owning backlog prioritisation, sprint planning and delivery execution.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Data, Technology, Delivery leaders to optimise delivery processes, ensuring continuous improvement in efficiency and quality.
Launch & Iterate
- Lead the end-to-end process for new product development (Discovery → MVP → MMP).
- Conduct lean experiments to validate value and growth hypotheses, ensuring clear product-market fit before scaling.
- Collaborate with Risk, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure new products comply with regulatory obligations and funding frameworks.
Leadership and Growth
- Mentor, and develop a team of Product Managers, fostering a culture of customer obsession, continuous learning, and psychological safety.
- Champion product excellence by introducing and implementing best practices
Cross functional collaboration
- Build and foster effective, collaborative relationships with peers (Head of Design, Engineering, Technology, Data, Delivery), promoting joint accountability for outcomes.
- Work closely with external partners and API providers to extend and enrich Wisr's platform.
What You'll Bring
- 10+ years of product management experience, with at least 5 years leading teams of Product Managers in fintech, SaaS, or high-growth technology companies.
- Demonstrated success launching and scaling products from concept (0→1) and at scale (1→n).
- Proven ability to define clear product visions, multi-year roadmaps, and align cross-functional teams around measurable outcomes.
- Understanding of lending economics, technology, credit risk, APIs, and regulatory environments.
- Data-driven mindset—highly skilled in product analytics e.g. Amplitude, experimentation (A/B/N testing), and insight-driven decision-making.
- Systems thinker, capable of transitioning between high-level strategic context and detailed product execution effortlessly.
- Exceptional communicator and storyteller who can motivate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience with AI-enabled products and platforms (preferred but not essential).
