PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Woofys is in growth-mode. We are a brand experience company, helping businesses create memorable and impactful IRL brand activations. We work with leading names in fashion, automotive, retail, and beauty, delivering innovative creative solutions that drive engagement and bring brands to life.

As
Head of Production

, you will lead the Australian Production team – owning the end-to-end delivery of activations, events, and brand experiences, while setting the bar for operational excellence and creative execution. You will be accountable for driving efficiencies, leading a high-performing team, and ensuring flawless execution across every project.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

DEPARTMENT LEADERSHIP

  • Act as the primary representative of the Production department, connecting it to the wider business and Senior Leadership Team.
  • Lead, coach, and inspire the production team (from juniors through to seniors), ensuring high performance, engagement, and professional growth.
  • Be the escalation point for complex projects or issues, providing calm, strategic guidance.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with other department heads, ensuring cross-functional alignment and swift resolution of challenges.
  • Act as a role model for Woofys' values, culture, and leadership behaviours.

OPERATIONAL & EVENT DELIVERY

  • Oversee the delivery of all activations and live events across Australia, ensuring the
    Woofys WOW factor

is consistently achieved.
- Maintain a macro view of all projects, stepping in on complex or high-profile activations where your expertise adds value.
- Drive seamless on-the-ground execution: resourcing, logistics, styling, and overall event quality.
- Uphold and instill the highest standards of production excellence, ensuring all projects are on time, on budget, and margin-focused.
- Ensure sustainability and safe work practices are embedded into production processes.

COMMERCIAL & SUPPLIER MANAGEMENT

  • Own financial performance across Production, including budget oversight, margin improvement, and supplier negotiations.
  • Ensure supplier contracts, tenders, and procurement processes are rigorous and cost-effective, without compromising on quality.
  • Manage and grow Woofys' network of trusted suppliers and freelance partners, ensuring scalability and flexibility.
  • Oversee custom fabrication, equipment procurement, and maintenance of all Woofys assets, props, and event infrastructure.

EXCELLENCE & BEST PRACTISE

  • Establish and cascade best practice processes for production, project management, and quality control across the team.
  • Empower senior team members to take ownership of departmental standards and checkpoints.
  • Introduce new tools, systems, and ways of working to improve operational efficiency and creative delivery.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging the team to push boundaries and innovate.
  • Ensure sustainability is considered in all projects, reducing environmental impact wherever possible.

  • Monitor team capacity and workload, ensuring resourcing is balanced and sustainable.
  • Lead with empathy, supporting team members both professionally and personally, and removing barriers to success.
  • Hold regular check-ins, appraisals, and development sessions to drive retention and progression.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 8+ years experience producing events/ brand activations.
  • Exceptional event management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Expertise in live event production.
  • You're organised and process driven - you value attention to detail in all that you do.
  • Strong creative sensibility and understanding of experiential storytelling.
  • Commercially astute, with a strong grasp of budgets and margin-focused decision-making.
  • Proficient in project management tools (

  • You're proactive and show initiative – you know that things often don't go to plan (despite how well you plan) but you're able to think on your feet and solve problems with minimal fuss. Ability to think strategically 'outside the box', and creatively.
  • You prioritise safety – you have tight deadlines and a lot on the go, but despite this, you ensure that you act safely at all times, prioritising safe work procedures and following Warehouse and other safety plans and instructions.
  • You enjoy leading a team and getting the best out of people.
  • Willingness to travel domestically as needed.
