About the role

We are seeking a talented Bookkeeper / Accountant to join our team at Dandenong South, Victoria. This is a full-time position where you will play a key role in maintaining the financial records and operations of our organisation.

What you'll be doing

  • Managing the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, e-tags, fuel cards, bank reconciliations, payroll backup and general ledger tasks
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports
  • Completing business activity statements and other tax compliance requirements
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including clients and auditors
  • Assisting with ad-hoc financial projects and analysis as required

What we're looking for

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in accounting or finance
  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Accountant, ideally within a small to medium-sized business
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, reporting standards and tax compliance
  • Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
  • Proficient in using accounting software such as Netsuite
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Adaptable and proactive approach to problem-solving
