About the Role

ALPHA 4x4 is seeking an experienced Importing and Sourcing Coordinator to join our fast-growing team in Malaga, WA. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for managing the company's import and sourcing processes, ensuring efficient and cost-effective procurement of materials and products.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiating favourable terms and conditions for the procurement of goods and materials

  • Coordinate the import process, including liaising with freight forwarders, customs brokers and other relevant parties to ensure timely and compliant delivery of imported goods

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, monitoring stock levels and placing orders to meet production and sales demands

  • Analyse market trends and opportunities to identify new sourcing options and drive continuous improvement in the company's procurement practices

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align purchasing activities with overall business objectives

  • Prepare and present detailed reports on procurement activities, costs and performance

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar importing and sourcing role, preferably within the manufacturing, transport or logistics industries

  • Strong understanding of international automotive trade regulations, customs procedures and import documentation requirements

  • Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills, with the ability to build and maintain productive relationships

  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field is highly desirable

  • High proficiency in Mandarin language required.
