Freelance Junior Graphic Designer (Christmas Project) – Awol Creations

We're on the lookout for a freelance Junior Graphic Designer to join Awol Creations for an exciting seasonal opportunity

This role is perfect for someone currently studying a Bachelor of Visual Communications / Graphic Design, who wants hands-on experience with real-world commercial design files and large-scale applications.

We are specifically looking for someone proficient with illustrator and vectorisation. Please do not apply if you can not show relevant experience.

What you'll be doing:

  • Vectorising hand-drawn designs and prepping artwork for large-format decal production
  • Setting up files for pre-press, including correct bleed, crop marks, and file formatting
  • Organising Illustrator files in a clean, layered format for production and install
  • Making design edits and layout tweaks as requested by the client or based on my final review
  • Attending to emails and adjustments from clients.
  • Creating EDM's

You're ideal for this if you:

  • Are fluent in Adobe Illustrator and a whizz with the pen tool
  • Have a strong eye for detail, layout and clean file structure
  • Understand or are willing to learn how decals and signage translate from digital to physical install
  • Are fast, responsive, and happy working to client feedback and final art direction

Details:

  • Freelance contract – approx. 2-4 weeks of work, maybe more.
  • Rate of $30/hr
  • Work from home (remote)
  • Starting September 2025
  • Great experience working on a high-volume, real-world design project with a fast-moving creative studio
