Customer Service Officer – Full-Time (On-Site) – Norwest Business Park

We're currently seeking a Customer Service Officer to join one of our valued clients, a member-focused financial institution located in the Norwest Business Park. This is a full-time, on-site role with hours from 8:15 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday. Please note there are no hybrid or remote work options for this position.

The Role

As the Customer Service Officer, you will be the first point of contact for members, providing in-branch and direct customer service support. You will handle a variety of tasks, including account openings, processing transactions, managing enquiries, and promoting products and services, all while ensuring an outstanding member experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver friendly, professional, and efficient customer service in person and over the phone
  • Assist with account openings, transaction processing, and member enquiries
  • Support branch targets by promoting financial products and services
  • Refer lending enquiries to specialist teams
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant policies and legislation
  • Collaborate with the branch team to achieve service and sales goals

What We're Looking For

  • 2–3 years of customer-facing experience, ideally in banking, finance, or lending
  • Strong communication skills with a warm, approachable manner
  • Highly organised, able to handle multiple priorities effectively
  • A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering solutions
  • Knowledge of the Consumer Credit Code, Privacy Act, and relevant legislation is advantageous
  • Experience in mortgages, lending, or property finance is highly regarded
