We are looking for a Business Services Officer focusing on claim recoveries and vendor relationship building.
Your new role
Working within our specialised audit team, you will apply your recovery/collection skills across our key clients including a range of top-tier household names. Reporting to the Business Services Director, you will provide important feedback within established business schedules to achieve recovery KPIs.
Your key duties in this team role include multiple client & vendor liaison and engagement plus reviewing accounts regularly to follow up outstanding claim recoveries. Using your developed people skills, you will smoothly handle challenging and demanding interactions with clients and vendors, maintain strict confidentiality, provide estimates for potential recoveries and document recovery activity.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing multiple client & vendor relationships simultaneously
- Following up with vendors regularly (written and verbally), providing answers to queries as necessary
- Liaising with the Audit Services Team to meet feedback schedules and presentation deadlines
- Explaining detailed claims data and AP processes to vendors
- Updating claims details using bespoke software
- Providing estimates on recoveries to feed up to management forecasts
- Reporting and escalating any vendor issues promptly
- Assist with on-boarding and training of new starters within the team.
- Consistently meeting team KPI's and yearly financial targets set by the business
- Self-motivated, results-focused, and able to effectively solve problems
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
You will have:
The ideal candidate will have a credit control or collections background, experience dealing with retail data movement or suppliers AP data. You will be comfortable working with large data sets to develop meaningful outcomes and be able to present results coherently.
You will have a general understanding of AR & AP movements and associated workflows. It would be beneficial to comprehend retail agreements, or possess some high level problem solving skills with a degree of initiative and flexibility. The successful candidate will be able to work with minimal direction and oversight whilst knowing they are supported, have strong documentation skills, proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines, possess advanced excel skills and excellent written and verbal communication/negotiation skills.
Some experience using/navigating large ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, etc. and knowledge skills using Microsoft Dynamics will be advantageous to the role. However a passion for learning and keen-ness to brush up your skills in this area would suffice.
The role is a full-time position with an immediate start for the successful candidate within a growth business working within the Audit and Technology service industry for large multi nationals.
