This is a permanent full-time position commencing January 2026.
Delivery of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) services provides support for the Department's educational outcomes by developing initiatives and technical support strategies to ensure all 800+ Western Australian public schools can be individual, distinctive and responsive to their local communities while still benefiting from being part of a system.
The Role
As the
Training Administration Officer
, you will join a supportive and dedicated team committed to delivering high-quality training for the school and student administration system across the Department. In this role, you will provide vital administrative support to the Student Information Management Systems (STIMS) Training Officers to ensure training activities are well-organised and delivered effectively.
You will be responsible for coordinating training schedules, booking venues and catering, managing printing and materials, creating and maintaining events within the Professional Learning Information System (PLIS). The role also involves organising travel and accommodation for the STIMS Training Officers and purchasing goods and services in line with Departmental policies and procedures, including processing payments, preparing purchase orders, and completing credit card acquittals.

The ideal candidate for this position will:
- have strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities effectively.
- have experience using and maintaining records within PLIS or a similar learning management system.
- have a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
- have sound knowledge of administrative and financial processes, including purchasing, invoicing, and credit card acquittals.
- have experience coordinating training activities, including scheduling, venue and catering bookings, and preparation of materials.
- have high attention to detail and accuracy in all administrative and financial tasks.
- have well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and confidence in learning new systems and processes.
