About the role

Community Work Australia is seeking an experienced professional to take on the role of Membership Officer.

As Membership Officer you will provide high quality support to the membership services and training endorsement team. You will work with other team members to conduct membership and training assessments, assist with the delivery of member services and maintain accurate member records. The successful candidate will enjoy working in a small team and have a positive attitude.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the membership and training endorsement team.
  • Update and maintain member records and databases.
  • Assess applications for Community Work Australia membership against eligibility criteria and guidelines.
  • Contribute to periodic reviews of membership services and related benefits, processes, and procedures.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders such as applicants, training providers, and employers.
  • Respond to telephone and email enquiries.
  • Compile monitoring, measurement and related quality system performance data as required.
  • Support the ongoing development of the member services and training endorsement programs.
  • Engage with management in identifying and addressing opportunities for continuously improving the organisation's day-to-day functioning.

Our ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • a tertiary qualification in community services, human services, social work or similar (preferred)
  • a good knowledge of and experience in the community sector (preferred)
  • previous experience working in member services (desirable, but not essential)
  • high attention to detail
  • excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite) and have experience using and maintaining CRM's and/or electronic records and databases
  • good time management skills
  • an ability to prioritise workloads
  • enjoy working in a small team
