About the Role
Centennial is currently seeking an experienced Mining Coordinator to join our team at Mandalong Mine, a high-performing underground longwall operation located just a short drive from Newcastle and the Central Coast.
Reporting to the Production Manager, this key role will work closely with operational leaders and production teams to coordinate resources, manage daily plans, and support mine planning activities. This is a rare opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced mining environment while growing your leadership skills and project management expertise.
As the Mining Coordinator, your role will include:
• Supporting the implementation of Development, Outbye and Longwall operational plans.
• Assisting with mine planning and project management to meet operational goals.
• Providing statutory supervision on shift where required.
• Coordinating resources to meet daily and weekly production targets.
• Ensuring compliance with the Mine Safety and Environmental Management Systems.
• Leading or contributing to incident investigations and risk management processes.
• Driving cost efficiency and supporting process improvement initiatives.
• Liaising with cross-functional teams to maintain equipment and production schedules.
• Supporting people development through training coordination and performance planning

About You
We are seeking a motivated, safety-focused professional with the following:
Essential:
• Deputy Certificate of Competence (3rd Class Ticket, NSW) and/or a formal engineering qualification with a current Practising Certificate
• G2 Risk Management qualification
• Strong coordination and project management capabilities
• Proven ability to manage operational plans and drive team performance
Desirable:
• Experience using Pulse Mining Systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Excel
• Undermanager Certificate of Competence (2nd Class Ticket, NSW)
• Strong non-technical skills: leadership, communication, situational awareness, decision-making, teamwork
