Seeking a dynamic Sales Manager to lead and grow its sales operations. This role involves managing a small, high-performing team while driving national sales growth across the company's specialty ingredient portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial mindset, experience in sales leadership, and a proven track record in the food, nutrition, or ingredient sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the national sales strategy to achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a small sales team, fostering high performance and accountability.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand relationships with existing clients.
- Maintain and strengthen supplier and customer relationships to support business growth.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform strategy.
- Collaborate with operations, marketing, and technical teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts, reports, and insights to senior management.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in sales and business development within food, nutrition, or specialty ingredients sectors.
- Demonstrated experience managing a small team, including coaching and performance management.
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously while maintaining alignment with company goals.
- Knowledge of the Australian and New Zealand market landscape preferred.
