WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

About the Team

Work alongside industry professionals with a team that is growing to meet the manufacturing demand for our product for our Commonwealth. This role will be based on-site at our Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence (MILVEHCOE) site. Have the ability to see what you are procuring and learn the product as it comes to site.

About the Role

Our Purchasing Officers are responsible for the sourcing and procuring goods and services required by the business. They also ensure that all necessary materials, equipment and services are acquired on time, within budget, and in compliance with Defence standards.

This role requires a high level of attention to detail, adherence to procurement policies and procedures, and the ability to handle complex purchasing tasks in a high-security environment.

  • Strong understanding of procurement processes and contract management;

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and liaise effectively with various departments;
  • High level of integrity and professionalism, particularly in handling sensitive and confidential information;
  • Ability to negotiate and communicate effectively with suppliers and stakeholders;
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment; and
  • Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required).
