Purchasing Officer

Aeris Resources are currently seeking applications for a Purchasing Officer to join our Corporate Team in Brisbane.
Reporting to the Group Procurement Manager you will be responsible for managing and monitoring all purchasing duties including follow up of purchase orders, creating and matching requisitions/work orders and providing guidance and support to all staff to enhance proficiency in procurement activities.
The role will initially support our Cracow Gold Operations, requiring regular, scheduled travel to site to help develop and strengthen relationships with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers and vendors alike.

About You:
- You will be an exceptional communicator, who's strengths lie in building strong working relationships with those around you, including the ability to work closely with internal stakeholders remotely
 - You will have a great eye for detail and a keen interest in identifying process improvements.
 - You're a business cost saver by nature and have demonstrated experience negotiating positively and effectively with vendors and suppliers to get the most cost effective and efficient results in relation to purchasing and procurement
 - Ideally you will possess experience using Pronto/Redmap, however similar systems experience coupled with the ability to learn new systems quickly will see you succeed in this role
 - Strong experience negotiating Contracts for cost effective procurement of goods and services
 - Flexibility to organise and pick up HotShot requests and must rides, expediting emergency purchasing requests to ensure cost effective and continued operations.
 - C class Open Manual Drivers licence
 - Certificate IV in Purchasing or Warehousing (Advantageous)
