Position Summary:

This role manages the end to end development of utility scale solar and battery storage projects up to the financial investment stage. The key development stages overseen in this role range from landholder engagement, stakeholder liaison, environmental approvals, and the grid connection process. This role will travel to relevant sites as necessary to deliver tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and initiate new solar and/or storage projects
  • Successfully progress projects through the planning process fostering excellent stakeholder relations
  • Closely monitor and progress grid studies thorough the grid connection process
  • Track projects end to end identifying and effectively resolving issues
  • Coordinate the development of project timelines and budgets

  • Ensure processes are followed and are compliant with relevant legislation
  • Build positive productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist project partners as required
  • Establish and maintain technical relationships with AEMO and NSPs and other partners
  • Represent Recurrent Energy with Planning Authorities, Federal, State and Local Government, Community, Landowners and Grid Operators

Skills & Requirements:

  • PR visa or Australian Citizenship
  • At least 5 years experience in PV, storage and / or renewable energy industries. Candidates with more experience will be considered for the Senior Manager position
  • Demonstrated experience in end to end solar farm and BESS development in Australia
  • Understanding of the Australian Renewable energy market
  • Proven commercial acumen and negotiation skills
  • Good understanding of the grid connection processes
  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to operate in a collaborative working environment
  • Strong knowledge of the Project life cycle in Australia, including but not limited to all regulatory requirements
  • Proficient in MS Office required.
  • This position operates with a high degree of independence whilst carrying out the duties
