Management Accountant

AIM Mining Corporation operates the Warrawoona Gold Project located near Marble Bar in the East Pilbara district of Western Australia, with our Head Office based in West Perth.

As we continue to expand our mining operations, we're also investing in the growth of our Corporate Finance team. We're seeking a talented and driven Management Accountant to play a key role in delivering strategic financial insights that support our success and long-term growth.

Based in our brand new, state of the art corporate office in West Perth, this is a permanent, full-time position working Monday to Friday, with regular monthly travel to our mining operations.

About the role

As a Management Accountant, you'll be responsible for monitoring financial performance, preparing accurate reports, and delivering meaningful analysis to senior leadership. Your work will help ensure cost control, compliance, and strategic decision-making across the business.

Key Duties/Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily costs and outstanding purchase orders in collaboration with Heads of Department and other stakeholders.
  • Support month-end processes, including accruals, re-allocations, valuations, reviews, and reporting.
  • Ensure costs are accurately allocated and aligned with budgets.
  • Reconcile physical inventory data (store, production, and gold shipments).
  • Identify and resolve transaction errors.
  • Prepare internal and external financial and management reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and periodic forecasts.
  • Ensure AFE (Authorisation for Expenditure) requests comply with company policies.
  • Support asset capitalisation, verification, and disposals.
  • Maintain and develop BI (Business Intelligence) reporting tools.
  • Assist with tax, royalties, and audit data collection.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Undertake other financial tasks as requested by management.

About you

We're looking for someone who brings both technical expertise and a proactive, problem solving mindset. Ideally, you'll have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting and be CA or CPA qualified (or in the final stages of completion)
  • Prior experience in a similar role, preferably in the mining or resources sector
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience with Pronto ERP and BI reporting tools (preferred)
