About the Role

Sydney Dental Hospital (SDH) has been serving the local community since 1904. The Hospital is a centre of excellence and throughout its history has been a key driver in shaping oral health and dental care in Australia.

Provide specialist advanced social work services to Sydney Dental Hospital - Oral Health Services (SDH-OHS) and senior leadership and advocacy for social work including ongoing establishment of a Social Work Service at SDH-OHS, education and quality improvement.

Ideal Candidate

• Degree in Social Work and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
• Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge, skill and significant recent clinical experience in the provision of Social Work services in a health setting with a range of clinical groups including assessment and counselling for complex psychosocial issues with disadvantaged groups, young persons and families.
• Extensive experience and demonstrated ability in building and maintaining professional and therapeutic relationships and working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, health professionals and key stake holders through advanced written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
