Content Lion is seeking an experienced Offline/Online Editor to join our in-house post-production team. The Senior Editor will be responsible for overseeing the post-production process from start to finish, ensuring that all deliverables are of the highest quality and delivered on time. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of post-production experience, focusing on editing engaging film and video content.

You should be somebody who is passionate about the creative industry specifically editing and post-production and has experience working across a wide range of mediums such as Commercial, Short Form, Social and Brand Campaign work.

As Senior Editor we are looking for somebody who lives and breathes the Content Lion company values and somebody who strives for perfection no matter what the task, they need to lead the post-production component of the projects that run through the business by adding value to the editing process and enhancing the films they are working on.

At Content Lion we work with a wide range of companies from delivering a large range of content from high end TVC's, Branded content/campaigns and social content.

Responsibilities:

  • Consistently adding value to production work and processes and exceeding through exceptional post-production.
  • Oversee their post-production process from start to finish, ensuring that all deliverables are of the highest quality and delivered on time and on Budget.
  • Collaborate with the Producer, Director, and other members of the post-production team to develop and execute creative ideas and storytelling.
  • Edit content for various platforms, including TVC, digital, and social media platforms.
  • Manage and mentor junior editors to ensure the highest quality output.
  • Work with the team to continually improve post-production processes and workflows.
  • Strong understanding of best practices of the editing workflow from assembly through to colour grade, Sound, Motion Graphics etc
  • To assist in the growth of the post-production offering that we have here at Content Lion.
  • Responsible for being at the forefront of online video trends, technologies and techniques; sourcing and presenting new films, content, ideas or technical gear to inspire the team at weekly WIPs.
  • Deliver work that the editors below look up to and inspire the team around you with your work.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in post-production with a focus on editing and creating strong engaging content.
  • Proficient in Adobe Premiere and other post-production software eg Blender, Davinci Resolve.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience managing and mentoring junior editors.
  • Creative mindset and an endless appetite for learning and growth and that anything is achievable through the willingness to learn and teach.
  • Your work is your art and craft embody it and invest in the deliverables no matter the project.

Qualifications

  • Advanced Editing skills, including proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer
  • Creative development and storytelling abilities to ensure engaging and cinematic content
  • Experience in post-production processes, including sound design, colour grading.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with the creative team and clients
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and a keen eye for visual aesthetics
