About The Role

Working for an industry-leading tech company on a global stage, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Megaport’s content marketing strategy while assisting with content delivery in strategic partner marketing, product marketing, corporate communications, and investor relations.

Building and managing a content calendar, you will be both a writer and editor, able to roll up your sleeves and drive productivity from day one. This role is instrumental in telling the Megaport story - driving engagement, organic web traffic, and increasing mindshare through interesting and well-researched content that is rich in search terms and compelling to readers.

What you will be doing- Stay up-to-date with the latest product roadmap and customer challenges in order to develop a content strategy that aligns with long-term business goals and supports revenue generation.- Implement and maintain a content calendar that includes blogs, key in-person events, webinars, and major corporate announcements.- Write and edit global content across various platforms including the Megaport blog and website, our social media channels, and third-party content sites.- Continuously measure and improve content performance; create reports leveraging Google Analytics, and analytics tools for social media such as SEMrush.- Utilise analyst research and relationships (e.g. Gartner, Forrester) to make our content more relevant to and valuable for our target audience.- Monitor industry trends and commentary from competitors, partners, media outlets, and other key industry players to keep the content calendar timely and relevant.- Improve and maintain SEO best practices for global and regional content.-
- Write engaging, persuasive, and consistent copy as well as clearly articulate complex concepts and solutions in plain language.- Work closely with senior leaders, marketing teammates, and other departments to create effective communications strategies that articulate our product’s core benefits properly and consistently.- Interact with content specialists, graphic designers, and internal team members to create and review all content and ensure consistent messaging and correct style guide usage.- Work with employee advocates and technical specialists to support content distribution and improve brand credibility.- Push the business to adopt better content creation practices through frequent testing of new content formats and distribution channels, including championing the increased use of video, data visualization infographics, AI, and other graphical content.- Management of content writers, freelance writers, and other external resources.- Participate in ideation of marketing campaigns and initiatives to educate our customer and prospect base around the globe.

What we are looking for-
- 3-5 years experience in a copywriting, content marketing, or communications role.- B2B marketing/copywriting experience preferred (writing samples required, portfolio site a plus).- Strong proficiency in SEO tactics and content marketing best practices.- Ability to vary style and tone to suit the task at hand as well as proficiency in persuasive communication techniques to promote our products and services.- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage and engage with numerous internal and external stakeholders to meet content marketing requirements.- Exquisite English, grammar, spelling, and communication skills (better than everyone you know), and demonstrated exceptional attention to detail.- Proficiency in using Wordpress, Webflow, or other website and content management systems.- Proficiency in using Semrush or similar social media scheduling platforms.- Knowledge of best practices for posting to Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and other leading platforms.- Hardworking, a fast learner, and able to consistently meet tight deadlines.- Strong teamwork skills; willing to “jump in and get your hands dirty” when needed.- High degree of initiative, ownership, and accountability.- Ability to recite the ‘Fresh Prince of Bel Air’ intro - or similar weird impressive skill.
