Team Leader, Editorial

Reporting to the Manager, Online Services, your primary responsibilities will involve the strategic development and execution of editorial solutions to ensure the creation of effective, user-friendly, accessible, and accurate websites for Queensland Health. You will play a crucial role in formulating and maintaining strategies to enhance content delivery across the Queensland Health website network, utilizing your expertise to coordinate and manage external editors, vendors, and suppliers, as necessary.
Furthermore, you will provide specialist guidance to various business areas, assisting them in crafting content suitable for online publication. Your insights will encompass content design and planning, effective metadata utilization, and the creation of engaging and accessible content. You will oversee multiple concurrent projects, skilfully allocating and managing resources in accordance with shifting departmental priorities and client needs.
You will maintain a contemporary industry knowledge of editorial best practice, allowing you to contribute to the ongoing improvement of online services by offering advice and support to team members and colleagues.
The successful person
To excel in this role, you should highlight prior senior-level expertise within a website editorial context. Familiarity with development languages would be advantageous. Proficiency in using enterprise content management systems is particularly beneficial. Your communication and interpersonal aptitude should be advanced, as evidenced by your capability to collaborate harmoniously, establish productive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, and operate within partnerships.
Advanced project management skills are essential, and your capacity to strategize and oversee the execution of multiple concurrent priorities should be evident. Your ability to contribute positively to team dynamics, fostering a cooperative environment, and maintaining a customer-centric attitude while supporting colleagues' success are all key attributes expected in this role.
